How our partnership with Care England is solving the care crisis

ALEX LAMONT • 08 Feb 2024

We are thrilled to announce a collaboration with Care England on an innovative initiative aimed at addressing the critical recruitment and retention challenges within the adult social care sector.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in our shared commitment to enhancing the workforce landscape for care providers and Local Authorities across England. We can't wait to welcome more care organisations to our family of clients who use Jobtrain's applicant tracking system to revolutionise their hiring.

Exciting news for care homes

The adult social care sector is facing a deep-rooted crisis, with a staggering annual cost of £3 billion attributed to recruitment and retention issues. A third of the workforce leaves their roles each year, leading to a cycle of rehiring that places immense financial and operational strain on care providers. Care England, recognising the urgency of these challenges, has launched an end-to-end solution designed to bring more domestic staff into care roles and support their retention in the sector.

Our applicant tracking system is at the heart of this initiative, offering a comprehensive solution that streamlines the recruitment process for care homes. By partnering with Care England, we are bringing together our expertise and innovative technology to significantly improve recruitment and retention rates across the sector. Our ATS is designed to meet the unique needs of the care industry, facilitating a more efficient and effective hiring process that attracts and retains high-quality staff.

Who's involved with the collaboration?

The collaboration with Care England and other organisations, including Care Character, Care Friends, and Vivup, represents a collective effort to address the sector-wide vacancy rate, improve the quality and development of carers, lower turnover rates, and reduce costs for providers. We're more than an ATS. Our applicant tracking system is just the starting point.

This collaboration is more than just a partnership; it's a commitment to improving the lives of those who rely on social care services and those who dedicate themselves to providing that care. We are proud to stand with Care England in this vital endeavour and look forward to the positive changes our combined efforts will bring to the sector.
